Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT SERVICES DO you PROVIDE? Where do you travel?

Yes. Individuals living with diabetes may benefit from careful, routine foot assessment and professional foot care. Each visit includes attention to skin and nail condition and other findings that may require further evaluation.

Certain conditions may make routine nursing foot care inappropriate or require medical clearance or referral. If concerns are identified, follow-up with a physician, podiatrist, or other appropriate healthcare provider may be recommended.

WHAT IF I HAVE A WOUND, INFECTION, OR OTHER FOOT CONCERN?

Routine foot-care visits are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment of an active infection, ulcer, or other condition requiring medical care. If a concerning finding is identified, foot-care services may be deferred and you may be referred to your physician, podiatrist, wound-care provider, or another appropriate healthcare professional.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, seek immediate medical attention.

What to expect at the assessment?

Your first visit begins with a review of relevant health information and an assessment of your feet, skin, and nails. Based on your individual needs, appropriate routine foot and nail care will be provided, along with education and recommendations for ongoing foot care.

If a concern is identified that requires evaluation beyond the nursing scope, appropriate medical follow-up may be recommended.

Who may benefit from in-home Foot care? do you provide care for people with diabetes?

Our services are designed for adults and seniors who may have difficulty safely caring for their own feet, including individuals with limited mobility, chronic health conditions, diabetes, or difficulty reaching their feet.

Each new client is assessed to determine their individual foot-care needs and whether nursing foot care is appropriate.
